The Philippine Arena in Bulacan will host the 2023 FIBA World Cup, which will include local talents.
World-class Filipino performers Sarah Geronimo, Ben & Ben, and The Dawn are expected to grace the World Cup stage during the tournament's opening ceremonies on August 25.
On that day, Filipinos will not only see Gilas Pilipinas face off against the Dominican Republic, but they will also see Asia's Popstar royalty, Sarah G, perform her all-time hits for the thousands of fans in attendance.
Prior to this, iconic rock band The Dawn will perform on the court following a Filipino cultural show.
From one outstanding band to the next, they will be followed by Ben & Ben as they perform their own performance.
The musical acts will begin after 4:00 p.m.
The inaugural game will be between Italy and Angola, with local organizers hoping to create a new attendance record for a FIBA contest.
