Vice President-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio has spent over PHP 216 million during her vice-presidential campaign, according to her Statement of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE) submitted to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Tuesday.
Based on her SOCE, the presidential daughter did not spend any money from her personal funds.
In total, she received PHP 216,190,935.06 in contributions, much lower than the spending limit of PHP 674 million for presidential and vice-presidential candidates.
Of this amount, PHP 79,581,690.15 came from in-kind contributions received from other sources while P1HP 36,609,244.91 was in-kind contributions from her political party.
President-elect Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., Duterte-Carpio's running mate, had declared P623,230,176.68 worth of total expenditures incurred in the recent national elections.
The SOCE is the final Comelec requirement from the party pursuant to the Election Code and other Comelec rules following the conduct of the 2022 national polls.
