Is Robin Padilla the 12th candidate in the senatorial lineup of frontrunners Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. and Sara Duterte-Carpio?
During their grand rally at Paoay Sand Dunes on Wednesday, the vice-presidential bet announced that they have already completed their senatorial slate, making Padilla their 12th and final candidate.
"Twelve na po kaming ngayong araw na ito," she said.
However, after the event, there seemed to be confusion between the UniTeam Alliance as Marcos said the actor was not part of their lineup.
"Alam niyo po, si Robin Padilla, kahit hindi po namin kasama ‘yan sa lineup ng mga senador ay matagal na po naming naging kaibigan ‘yan," he said.
"At kaya naman eh kahit na hindi siya technically naisama, eh pagka-nandiyan siya, kapag mayroon siyang panahon, eh sinasama namin," he added.
In a chance interview with reporters, Padilla admitted that there are no formal talks yet on his inclusion in the Marcos-Duterte lineup.
"Wala pa pong pormal na usapan kasi po ‘yung sa amin ni Ma’am Sara, ano po ‘yun e, talagang ako’y nasa ilalim niya," Padilla said.
