The Sandiganbayan fined Angelo Timoteo Molina, a former member of the Camarines Norte provincial board, for his failure to account for cash advances he received for his official travels.
Molina was found guilty by Sandiganbayan 2nd Division Associate Oscar Herrera in a three-page decision promulgated on December 7.
Moreover, the former provincial board member failed to render accounts under Article 218 of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Section 89 of Presidential Decree No. 1445 or the Government Auditing Code.
The case stemmed from Molina's failure to account for cash advances from his travels in 2007 as an ex-officio member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Camarines Norte.
Herrera ordered Molina to pay the court P1,000 and the provincial government a total of P25,517.
