The expected salary increase of government employees for next year is still unclear as it did not pass the first study of the Governance Commission for GOCC for the supposedly first Salary Standardization Law under the Marcos Administration.
In a report by Leth Narciso for DZRH’s Damdaming Bayan, Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Chief of Staff Atty. Leo Larcia said that the result is not yet final, and that the GCG will request a rebid for the salary increase.
The DBM still hopes that the study for the requested salary increase will restart in October.
“Magpapa-rebid po ulit ang GCG, hopefully we will have study by October,” said Larcia.
Under the proposed 2024 national budget, the government allocated almost P17-B allocation in case there are adjustments in compensation packages to the government.
