A Special Action Force (SAF) patrolman was relieved of his post following positive results for a random illegal drugs test.
SAF Director Police Brigadier General Mark Pespes told reporters that this officer, who remains unnamed, was the only one to test positive out of 93. The officer also tested positive in the confirmatory test administered yesterday, June 6.
The former patrolman did not protest.
"Confirmed naman at di naman nag-contest 'yung subject. Relieved siya at inaantay dito for the formal investigation," Pespes reported.
["The result was confirmed and the subject did not contest. He has been relieved and we are waiting for the formal investigation."]
The PNP-SAF conducted the drug test after receiving intelligence information that one of its personnel was using illegal drugs.
The officer was placed in the Holding and Accounting Unit and will be subject to an administrative case.
