House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez on Monday, Nov. 13, said unidentified individuals reportedly hacked his official social media accounts, and investigation is presently underway.

"I was informed by the communications team of the Office of the Speaker that my official social media accounts have recently been subjected to unauthorized access by unknown individuals," he said in an official statement.

Romualdez stressed they take social media hacking "very seriously" and that they are now "currently working with the relevant authorities to investigate this breach."

The House Speaker urged the public to "remain cautious and vigilant about any unusual activity or communications that may appear to be" coming from him or his office.

"Rest assured, we are committed to resolving this issue promptly and ensuring the security of our digital platforms," he added.

The hacking incident comes a month after a certain group "3MUSKETEERZ" hacked the official website of the House of Representatives.

Other government agencies, including the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) also fell victim to cyberattacks.
