The camp of Vice President Leni Robredo believes that her survey numbers are "starting to reflect what we have been seeing on the ground all along" following her significant growth in the recent presidential survey by Pulse Asia.
"This 13-point swing going into the last two months of the campaign clearly establishes what we have long known: that VP Leni has the momentum, which we expect will only further intensify and accelerate all the way to May 9," said her spokesman, Atty. Barry Gutierrez, in a statement.
"What we are seeing now is the turning of the tide," he added.
Despite coming second, Robredo showed significant growth in her ratings from 15 percent in February to 24 percent in the latest Pulse Asia survey.
Her opponent, former senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. maintained his lead with 56 percent, a 4 percent slash from his previous February rating of 60 percent.
"Sa tulong ng ating mga kababayang patuloy na kumikilos, kumakatok, nakikiusap, nangungumbinsi, ipapanalo natin ito," Gutierrez said.
‘What we are seeing now is the turning of the tide.’
