Vice President Leni Robredo on Wednesday bared why she should become the next president of the Philippines while explaining why the other candidates are not deserving of the position.
In the Political Fast Talk with television host Boy Abunda, Robredo said she deserves the Filipinos' votes because she has shown how women leaders can rise above crises.
"Ako, pinakita ko nitong krisis na ito, and many other crises in the past, na ang mga babaeng leader nagsha-shine during crisis," she said.
(I have shown in this crisis, and many other crises in the past, that women leaders shine during a crisis.)
"And ako pinakita ko 'yan sa maraming trabaho namin dito sa OVP (Office of the Vice President), marami kaming mga krisis na nalagpasan with flying colors," she added.
(And I have shown that in many of the jobs here in the OVP because we overcame a lot of crises with flying colors.)
Meanwhile, she also answered Abunda's questions on why the other presidential aspirants should not be voted for the presidency.
For Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., she said: "Number one, sinungaling. In the difficult moments hindi siya nagpapakita."
(Number one, liar. In the difficult moments, he does not show up.)
For Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, she said: "Hindi klaro 'yung paninidigan sa maraming bagay."
(His stance on a lot of things are not clear.)
For Senator Ping Lacson, she said: "Maraming salita pero kulang sa on-the-ground na gawa."
(He says a lot be he lacks on-the-ground work.)
For Senator Manny Pacquiao, who Robredo in another interview with GMA said she would vote for if she was not running, she said:
"Ito malungkot ito, pero 'yung kabutihan ng loob kasi sa atin hindi sapat."
(This one is sad, but being good on the inside is not enough.)
