On Saturday, outgoing Vice President Leni Robredo denounced the arrest of over 90 individuals in Tarlac who participated in a land cultivating activity on June 9.

According to Robredo, the said event was carried out peacefully by its participants, including supporters, students, writers, and artists.

(While the overall details are still being identified, some things are clear: The event took place in peace. The farmers had no other intention but to give a good life to their families.)

(Their supporters went there to be one with them and help.)

The vice president said they are hoping for a just resolution to be served immediately while appealing to authorities to respect the human rights of those arrested.

(We are hoping that their human rights would be respected, that they would be treated as Filipinos with dignity, and for the immediate delivery of a just resolution.)

Over 90 individuals were arrested in Concepcion, Tarlac, on Thursday - but 12 of them have been released, including five foreigners, three artists, and four minors.
