Philippines' Roberta Tamondong has been appointed as the new fifth runner-up of Miss Grand International 2022 following the resignation of one of its original placers.
This was announced by the MGI organization on Sunday, October 30.
"She will be a part of the Top 10 and will continue her mission with the MGI team for a year," the annoucement read.
The 20-year-old beauty queen from San Pablo, Laguna also reposted the pageant’s announcement on her personal Instagram account along with the caption, “It’s official."
Tamondong took the place of Mauritius' representative Yuvna Rinishta, who resigned on Oct. 28 because she was “not able to sign the contract and complete the duty" as a fifth runner-up.
She now joins other fifth runners-up from Cambodia, Colombia, Puerto Rico, and Spain.
In celebration of the pageant’s 10th anniversary, the 2022 edition crowned all of its top 10 finalists – with five queens all being named as fifth runners-up.
Isabella Menin of Brazil was named Miss Grand International 2022.
