Rihanna, who served as the CEO of her lingerie brand Savage X Fenty since its inception in 2018, has stepped down from the position.
Taking her place as the new CEO is Hillary Super, the former CEO of Anthropologie Group. The transition officially took effect on June 26.
While Rihanna gave up her CEO role, she will remain actively involved in the brand as its executive chair.
The singer, with a personal net worth exceeding $1.4 billion, will continue to contribute her leadership and vision to the company.
Reflecting on the impact of Savage X Fenty over the past five years, Rihanna expressed her gratitude and enthusiasm for the future.
“It’s been beautiful to see our vision for Savage X Fenty impact the industry at such an incredible magnitude over the last five years. This is just the beginning for us, and we’re going to continue to expand in ways that always connect with the consumer. I’m so grateful and excited to welcome Hillary Super as our new CEO — she is a strong leader and is focused on taking the business to an even higher level,” Rihanna said in an interview with Vogue Business.
Meanwhile, the newly-appointed CEO, Hillary Super, brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having served as the global CEO of Anthropologie Group for four years.
She also held leadership positions in renowned retailers such as Guess, American Eagle, Gap, and Old Navy.
Hillary expressed her excitement about joining the Savage X Fenty family and praised the brand's unwavering commitment to inclusivity and fearlessness.
