Senator Ramon 'Bong' Revilla on Wednesday, Nov. 15, said he would recall the budget of Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) following circulating reports that he was apprehended in the EDSA carousel bus lane earlier.&nbsp;&nbsp;
&ldquo;Nakakasama ng loob at napakaaga atang pulitika ito o paninira [...] Ipapatawag nga nating itong ang MMDA at ipapa-recall ko ang budget nila, kung sila'y tapos na. Pagpapaliwanagin ko sila sa Senate,&rdquo; Revilla told DZRH in an interview.&nbsp;
&ldquo;Dapat 'yan nave-verify nila ng mabuti. Kung makakatama sila ng katulad ko na wala namang ginagawa, teka muna mukhang away ata ang hinahanap nila, 'di bale sana kung totoo,&rdquo; he added.
Revilla said MMDA was &ldquo;unfair&rdquo;, adding that if he were to go in Quezon City, he would pass at Skyway and not EDSA.
&ldquo;Medyo unfair yata yung ginawa ng MMDA. Papaano ako napunta ng EDSA? Papaano ako napadaan dyan? Eh if ever na tayo&rsquo;y tutungo ng QC, ang dinadaanan natin ay Skyway so imposibleng nandyan tayo sa EDSA bus lane na sinasabi niyan at never tayong nag-ganon,&rdquo; he said.&nbsp;
Meanwhile, MMDA Chairman Romando 'Don' Artes asked the Senator's forgiveness following the incident and said they would release a necessary statement regarding the matter.
&ldquo;We&rsquo;ll make the necessary statement regarding this matter pero sa ngayon pa lamang po ako ay humihingi ng paumanhin kay Senator Revilla. Hindi ko po alam kung paano lumabas ang kanyang pangalan dito considering na number 8 naman po yung plaka nung vehicle na na-apprehend,&rdquo; Artes said.
Two cars with the plate number 8 were earlier apprehended by MMDA authorities for traversing the exclusive EDSA busway days after the agency implemented the stiffer fines for carousel bus lane violators.
