In a media interview, he disclosed that the mastermind behind the brutal killing has already been identified through the suspects' statements.
He added that police authorities have already seized the video footage of the alleged mastermind, whose name has not yet been revealed.
"I can say that the end is near. Malapit na po ito masarado, except that the perpetuators haven't rounded up. But there are few people we have to round up for this purpose," Remulla said.
The Justice Secretary said the motive for the killing has yet been unfolded.
When asked if he has spoken with Negros Oriental 3rd District Rep. Arnolfo "Arnie" Teves Jr., who was being linked to Degamo's killing, Remulla said he had not.
