The remains of the overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who died last October 7 after she refused to leave her elderly patient behind in a bomb shelter in Israel arrived in the Philippines on Friday, November 3.

In a report from Chirstian Maño, the body of 33-year-old Angelyn Aguirre landed via Etihad Airways Flight EY 424 at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) around 3PM from Israel, where she was killed amid its ongoing war with Hamas.

Officials from the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) said they will be assisting the transfer of the body of Filipina nurse to Pangasinan.

A hero's welcome will be given to Aguirre in her hometown, OWWA said.
