Seulgi is the latest member of Red Velvet that will debut as a soloist soon!
On Tuesday, SM Entertainment confirmed reports that the 28-year-old singer will be making her much-awaited solo debut in October.
"Seulgi is preparing for her first solo album with the aim of an October release. Please show lots of interest,” a representative from SM Entertainment said, according to a Soompi report.
Other details about Seulgi's debut album will be released soon.
Prior to this upcoming solo album, Seulgi and fellow Red Velvet member Irene formed a subunit and released the mini-album Monster.
She also released “Always,” an OST for the 2019 series The Crowned Clown.
Following the confirmation of the news, ReVeluvs all over the world expressed their excitement on Twitter making the #SEULGISOLO trend worldwide.
Seulgi becomes the third member to release a solo album following Wendy and Joy, who both released solo albums in 2021.
Red Velvet's latest album, The Reve Festival 2022 – Feel My Rhythm, was released in March.
The group last visited the country in July for a benefit concert for people with special needs.
