Some vendors decided to no longer sell red onions after the price went up as high as Php 600 per kilogram.
Vendors admitted that red onions no longer sell due to the high cost.
"Mahal kasi ang puhunan ngayon. Talagang Php 600, wala ng kinikita yung mga tao," said Rogelio Villamor, a vendor at the Blumentritt Market.
"Nagtiyaga na lang kami sa kamatis, at saka sili, at saka bawang," Villamor added.
