Philippine National Police (PNP) Public Information Officer (PIO) Redrico 'Red' Maranan has been named as the spokesperson of the five-man advisory group tasked to review the resignation papers of PNP third-level officers.
His appointment was announced by PNP Chief Rodolfo Azurin Jr. on Wednesday, February 15.
The five-man committee group is composed of PNP Chief Rodolfo Azurin Jr., Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, former Defense chief Gibo Teodoro, Office of the Presidential Adviser on Military Affairs (OPAMA) Undersecretary for Police Affairs Isagani Nerez, and retired associate Justice Melchor Quirino Cabarroguis Sadang.
The group convened in a meeting last Monday, February 13.
Azurin earlier said that the group is eyeing to finish the assessment and evaluation of PNP resignations in less than three months.
