House Deputy Speaker Ralph Recto denied rumors of being appointed as the new Finance Secretary on Thursday, November 30.

In a chance interview, Rector refrained from commenting on that matter, adding that the decision is up to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

It was during the 30th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Leaders’ Summit) when the alleged appointments were floated.

Moreover, Recto said that he joined the President at the summit to represent the House of Representatives.
