A fire hit a residential area in Recto, Manila on Wednesday, January 31, and has reached the 5th alarm.

According to Boy Gonzales' live report during DZRH Breaktime, the fire that occurred near the Light Rail Transit 2 (LRT-2) started at 1:51 in the afternoon and was raised on 4th alarm at 4 p.m.
Forteen firetrucks of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) reportedly responded to the incident as the fire was hard to extinguish.
Meanwhile, Recto Avenue, particularly the road of Rizal Avenue to Sta. Cruz, Manila, is temporarily closed as of the moment.
The LRT-2 also implemented a provisionary service due to the close location of the incident.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire and the people who were affected.
