Charges have been filed against the driver of the Elf truck that crashed inside Cavite State University-Main Campus in Indang, Cavite on Monday, which led to the untimely demise of one student and injured 4 others.
The driver identified as Federico Baculan will be facing charges of reckless imprudence resulting to homicide and multiple physical injuries.
In an earlier statement, Cavite State University president Dr. Hernando Robles confirmed that the truck was registered in the name of the university.
He also said Baculan has been an employee of the university for 15 years.
Initial report from the Indang Police said Baculan forgot to put a wedge on the truck's wheels while on park at the outpost area.
The truck rolled towards the ladder parts of the swimming pool and bumped all the victims who were seating while reading books in preparation for their final examination.
Meanwhile, the university suspended all activities of the students until Friday this week.
