Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader Apollo Quiboloy has pleaded not guilty to charges of qualified human trafficking in Pasig Regional Trial Court (RTC).
In an ambush interview with reporters on Thursday, Quiboloy's legal counsel, Atty. Israelito Torreon, firmly reiterated their camp's position, stating that they entered a not-guilty plea.
"Basta not guilty yung kanyang plea," Torreon emphasized.
When asked by reporters why Quiboloy entered a not guilty plea, Torreon responded, "Wala siyang kasalanan e."

Quiboloy, along with his four co-accused, will be returned to the Philippine National Police Custodial Center in Camp Crame. They are scheduled for another arraignment via video conference at 2 p.m. in the Quezon City RTC.
Also present at the Pasig RTC was a witness known as "Amanda," who is set to testify regarding the alleged crimes committed within Quiboloy's religious group.
Their next court appearance in Pasig RTC is set for October.
