The camp of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), is requesting hospital arrest due to his alleged medical condition.
"Nag-motion din po ang mga abogado po nina Quiboloy na malipat po itong si Quiboloy at si Ingrid Canada doon po sa Veterans Memorial Center po sa Davao because accordingly ay mayroon po silang mga existing medical condition at nahihirapan po sila sa Custodial Facility," Philippine National Police (PNP) Spokesperson PCol. Jean Fajardo said during the press briefing at Camp Crame on Friday.
In their motion filed with Pasig Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 159, Quiboloy's camp seeks to transfer both Quiboloy and his co-accused, Ingrid Canada, to the Veterans Memorial Medical Center in Davao City.
Fajardo further mentioned that the judge instructed the PNP to have Quiboloy examined by government doctors to assess his current medical condition.
Fajardo clarified that Quiboloy will remain at the PNP Custodial Center while his appeal for hospital arrest is pending.
The Armed Forces of the Philippines had earlier denied the request from Quiboloy’s camp to transfer him to their custody.
