Quezon province has the worst situation after Typhoon Aghon lashed parts of Luzon, according to the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) administrator, USEC. Ariel Nepumuceno on Monday, May 27.
According to Nepumuceno, the OCD witnessed the destruction caused by the typhoon in Quezon province.
Citing an initial report from the local government, Nepumuceno said at least 2,700 are affected, while 2,600 are staying at the evacuation centers.
He said that 51 trips from several ports were canceled due to the unfavorable weather.
Meanwhile, Quezon Province Gov. Helen Tan said three of their areas have experienced landfall: San Francisco, Sariaya, and Patnanungan.
As of 6 a.m., Tan said 13,000, or 4 families, are experiencing flooding in Quezon, aside from Lucena City.
Ang assessment nila, tagtuyot siguro nagbara ang drainage natin," said the governor in an exclusive interview with RH Edniel Parrosa.

Tropical warning signal No. 3 was earlier raised in Quezon Province.
The PAGASA forecast said Aghon is expected to move generally northeastward over the Philippine Sea for the entirety of the forecast period and may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Wednesday afternoon or evening as a typhoon.
Aghon is the first tropical cyclone to hit the country in 2024.
