The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) granted Quezon City the 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance award during the ceremony in Manila Hotel.
“On behalf of our QCitizens, we would like to thank the DILG for this tremendous honor. This is a validation of our good governance efforts and effective delivery of services to our constituents,” Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte said after receiving the award.
She dedicated the seal to her fellow workers from the QC government who are ‘tirelessly helping us achieve our goals of providing a better life for QCitizens’.
The city was also granted the seal last 2019 before the pandemic started.
Republic Act 11292 or Seal of Good Local Governance is an award given to local government units in the Philippines in recognition of financial administration, disaster preparedness, social protection, health, business programs, education, tourism, and more.
Other cities including Muntinlupa, Caloocan, Mandaluyong, and Navotas also received the award.
