The Quezon City Police District arrested five travel agency employees on Friday, January 19, for allegedly offering fake tour packages to their clients.

According to RH5 Val Gonzales' report on MBC Network News, the QCPD received complaints from more than 20 individiduals who were reportedly scammed.

The five suspects were identified as Rogilyn Morga, Maria Elena Posadas, Gladys Nicole Auod, Charlie Manahan, and Kenneth Auod, all working at Full Ham Road, located at Maginhawa St. Teachers Village, Quezon City.

The suspects were reportedly offering tour packages, which were later known to be fake.

Among the complainants were co-workers who booked a tour package worth P89,000, but it was canceled after they discovered that they were not booked for hotel accommodations, including the airfare ticket.

The complainants said they were enticed by the cheap offer offered by the agency for a vacation in Boracay.

According to the police investigation, it appears that the travel agency was not only offering local travel but also has packages going to Hong Kong and other in Southeast Asia.

In December 2023, the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group warned the public against the "tour scam" that became rampant during the past holiday season.
