QCinema International Film Festival revealed on Wednesday, Oct. 18, the lineup for Asian Next Wave, featuring directorial debuts from filmmakers in Southeast Asia.

Abang Adik by Jin Ong follows immigrant orphans in Malaysia whose fraternal bond breaks into a sliver following a ruthless accident.
Gitling by Jopy Arnaldo is focused on a Filipina translator for a middle-aged Japanese director. In the midst of adding subtitles to his film, both measure the extent language can do in forming relationships.
Inside The Yellow Cocoon Shell by Thien An Pham centers around a man tasked to take his dead sister-in-law’s body to their hometown in Vietnam.
Last Shadow At First Light by Nicole Midori Woodford follows a girl plagued by recurring dreams of her mother. She then takes a trip from Singapore to Japan in search of her mother.

QCinema will run from November 17 to 26 at selected malls in Quezon City.
They are available for viewing at Gateway and Ali Mall Cineplex, U.P. Town Center - Ayala Malls, Robinsons Magnolia, Shangri-La Plaza, and Power Plant Mall.
Asian Next Wave is a competition centered on emerging filmmakers from the Southeast Asian region.
