The Quezon City local government is set to conduct internal probing on the t-shirt printing business owner’s business permits as there were several violations discovered, such as the misdeclaration of the area of business, number of employees, and business activity.

In a report by Val Gonzales in DZRH’s Dos Por Dos, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte said that an internal investigation will occur within the offices to determine the possible lapses in regulating businesses in the city.

According to QC Business Permit and Licensing Department (BPLD) Head Margarita Santos, the business owners in Quezon City have already received warnings as they religiously and meticulously comply with the provisions of the Ease of Doing Business Law.

Santos added that they will also go after those who misrepresented and lied about the business activity, area, and location.

The QC BPLD appealed to business owners who are operating in the city to remain truthful in providing their details for their business permits.

With the fire incident that killed 15 people, including a three-month-old baby, Belmonte said that the city government will extend burial and financial assistance to the bereaved families, particularly the company workers.
