Drag artist Pura Luka Vega, whose real name is Amadeus Fernando Pagente, on Wednesday, Dec. 27, shared that one case filed against them was dismissed by a lower court in Tacloban City due to lack of probable cause.

“Very grateful that at least one of all the cases filed against was dismissed. Laban lang,” Vega posted on X (formerly Twitter), without divulging further details regarding the case.

The drag artist drew flak online in July for dressing up as the Black Nazarene while performing a remix rendition of the “Ama Namin” in a club.

They were earlier arrested by Manila Police District in their residence after allegedly failing to attend the preliminary investigations filed by a church group accusing Vega of violating Article 201 of the Revised Penal Code concerning the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

The drag artist was released on bail after three days after receiving over P550,000 in donations.
