Drag artist Pura Luka Vega on Thursday questioned the persona non grata declared by four cities against her.
In her Twitter post, the former "Drag Den Philippines" contestant, whose real name is Amadeus Fernando Pagent, asked local governments to apprise her what she did wrong in her viral "Ama Namin" drag performance.
"I’m open for a dialogue and yet cities have been declaring persona non grata without even knowing me or understanding the intent of the performance," she added.
Tell me EXACTLY what I did wrong. I’m open for a dialogue and yet cities have been declaring persona non grata without even knowing me or understanding the intent of the performance. Drag is art. You judge me yet you don’t even know me. 🤷♀️ https://t.co/dprxdySjkD

Vega reiterated that drag is an art.
"You judge me yet you don’t even know me," she stressed.
Earlier this month, the local government of Bukidnon province and Toboso, Negros Occidental issued Resolutions declaring Pura Luka as persona non grata.
Last Tuesday, August 8, Manila’s 12th City Council also proclaimed the drag queen as persona non grata, citing that her viral performance was a blatant disrespect to the Catholic religion.
Pura Luka was first declared as persona non grata in General Santos City.
In the now-deleted viral video, the drag queen performed the remix version of The Lord's Prayer while she was in Black Nazarene costume.
After the video drew public clamor, Pura Luka defended peformance and said that her performance is her way to express queerness and not to mock any religion.
