Motorists should tighten their belts as several oil industry firms announced another round of pumped fuel prices this second week of September.
The new announcement marks the 10th straight week of fuel price increase for both diesel and kerosene.
In an advisory on Monday, Sea Oil announced that its diesel prices will increase by ₱0.40 per liter and kerosene prices by ₱0.20 per liter.
The gasoline, which is now on its 9th week of price hike, rose by ₱0.20,
The adjustments will be enforced at exactly 6 AM on Tuesday, August 22.
Cleanfuel and PetroGazz will likewise implement the same changes in gasoline and diesel.
The effectivities varies, Cleanfuel will carry out the price changes at 4:01 PM while PetroGazz at 6 AM.
Last September 5, oil companies implemented an increase of ₱0.50/liter for gasoline, ₱1.20/liter for diesel and ₱1.10/liter for kerosene.
Based on the latest monitoring of the Department of Energy, the said price adjustments pushed the year-to-date net increase in gasoline to ₱15.30/liter, diesel to ₱10.70/liter, and kerosene to ₱7.74/liter.
