State-owned media People's Television Network (PTV) on Thursday said its doors are open for the Philippine TV’s longest-noontime show “Eat Bulaga!” after it recently departed from its TV production firm, Television and Production Exponent (TAPE) Inc.
In a video statement posted on PTV’s social media accounts, PTV General Manager Julio Castillo Jr. said they are open to programs like “Eat Bulaga!” that promote Filipino values and uplift lives.
“Ang PTV ay bukas sa mga programang kagaya ng Eat Bulaga, so bigyan niyo po kami ng pansin. Maganda ang ating ma-i-offer,” he said.
“Tayo ho ay handa na sa digitalization at handa na rin tayo sa lahat ng network. [Sa] Luzon, Visayas, at Mindanao, tayo ay napapanood na, at ang ating rates ay nag-i-improve na,” Castillo Jr. added.

He also called on the program’s main hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon to consider a collaboration with the government channel.
“Please join us. Alam niyo, bukas po ang ating network para sa inyong programa na naayon sa mandato ng ating gobyerno,” Castillo said.
On Wednesday, May 31, the Dabarkads trio hosts announced that they bid goodbye to TAPE Incorporated after 44 years.
Tito, Vic, and Joey along with other prominent hosts like Maine Mendoza, Paolo Ballesteros, Jose Manalo, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Wally Bayola, Ryan Agoncillo, and Allan K then stepped down from the show.
In a statement, TAPE said the news was “unfortunate, but life must go on”.
TAPE said that they are grateful to all those who were involved and for making sure that the noontime show is number one. However, it added that the success of the show is not dependent on the three main hosts.
