The Philippines has two new bets for the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France.
The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC)announced on Tuesday, July 2, that John Cabang Tolentino secured a ticket to the 2024 Paris Games.
"John Cabang Tolentino bids to continue his excellent performance in the Olympic level as he qualifies for the 110m Hurdles of the 2024 Paris," PSC said in a Facebook post.
"He currently holds the Philippine national record for the event with 13.37 seconds in frame," the commission added.
PSC also shared that Lauren Hoffman will represent the Philippines in the 400 meters hurdles event of the 33rd Olympics, which will formally open on July 26.
"(Hoffman) set the Philippine national record for the distance with 55.72 seconds on clock in her silver medal finish at the Drake Relays held in USA," PSC said.
Including Tolentino and Hoffman, the Philippines now has 22 bets for the 2024 Paris Games.
