The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced on Friday that provincial buses will be allowed to travel along EDSA from April 3 to 10.

"From April 3 to 5, provincial buses will be allowed on EDSA from 10 pm to 5 am; and from April 6 to 10 round-the-clock (24 hours) to accommodate the expected influx of passengers going to the provinces for the observance of the Holy Week," the MMDA said in an advisory.

Provincial buses from North Luzon must end their trips at the bus terminals in Cubao, Quezon City, while South Luzon-bound provincial buses must end their trips in the Pasay City bus terminals.

"This is to ensure the convenience and comfort of the commuters who will go to the provinces for the Lenten break," it added.
