The Philippine Women’s National Ice Hockey Team achieved a historic milestone, securing its first-ever victory at the IIHF Women’s World Championship Division III Group B.

After a tough opening game loss against Bosnia & Herzegovina, the Filipinas bounced back with a commanding performance against Singapore on Monday, March 2 (Manila Time).

Led by standout forwards Jasmin Alcido and Gerogie Regencia, the team displayed a dynamic offense and precise teamwork.

Alcido contributed 4 goals and 3 assists, while Regencia added 2 goals and 1 assist. Other key contributors included Cuevas (1 goal, 4 assists), Tan (1 goal, 1 assist), Canac (1 assist), and Go (1 assist), highlighting the depth and balance of the squad.

The victory marks a historic moment for Philippine hockey, inspiring pride and belief in the nation’s growing presence on the international ice hockey stage.

Following this win, the Filipinas are set to face Israel on March 3, with momentum on their side as they aim to build on their breakthrough performance.
