Children were delighted with the gifts they received from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. during the nationwide gift-giving event at the Malacañang palace Grounds on Sunday, December 4.
During his speech in honor of "Balik Sigla, Balik Saya: Nationwide Gift-Giving Day," Marcos said that it is the President's tradition to provide gifts to children at the Palace as part of an early Christmas celebration.
He also said that he was happy because it has been the Palace's tradition to hold a children's party during Christmas.
"Hindi kumpleto ang kahit anong Pasko kung hindi natin nakikita ang ngiti at tuwa ng ating mga anak, ang ating mga apo, ang ating mga kabataan,' he said.
According to the President, this annual event ensures that all children in the country will have a joyful Christmas celebration.
The nationwide gift-giving is being held simultaneously in 40 locations across the Philippines, said Marcos.
Meanwhile, the chief executive and his wife, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, were delightfully serenaded by a children's choir.
