The Philippines Development Plan (PDP) 2023-2028, which aims to strengthen deep economic and social transformation to reinvigorate job creation and accelerate poverty reduction, has been approved by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on December 16.
In his message, Marcos said that he is delighted to announce his approval for PDP 2023-2028 which sets out the framework of the development plan for the country, including all the priority areas.
He added that the plan will facilitate the coordination and alignment of all government agencies and departments to a single plan to steer toward the "same direction."
Meanwhile, National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) chief Arsenio Balisacan said that it requires a whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach to address inflation and the constraints to rapid economic growth, job creation, and poverty reduction.
To provide a way toward inclusive growth, he added that it can possibly be done with the help of the development blueprint.
