Prez Marcos appoints Monalisa Dimalanta as new ERC chair

President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. has appointed lawyer Monalisa Dimalanta as the new chairperson of the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).

This was confirmed by Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles to reporters on Friday.

Dimalanta will be replacing Agnes Devanadera as the chief of the ERC.

An alumna of the University of the Philippines, Dimalanta served as former chief legal counsel and compliance officer of the Aboitiz Power Corporation.

She also became chairperson of the National Renewable Energy Board (NREB), according to Cruz-Angeles.
