President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. has appointed Eduardo 'Eddie' Guillen as acting administrator of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA).

The appointment paper of Guillen dated Dec. 9 and signed by Marcos was only released to the public on Monday, Dec. 12.

He will be replacing former NIAA acting chief Benny Antiporda who was preventively suspended by the Office of the Ombudsman (OMB) last month due to the administrative complaints filed by NIA officials, employees, and lawyers against him.

Guillen is also appointed as an NIA member and board of directors, his appointment paper reads.

Guillen finished a Bachelor of Science Major in Civil Engineering.
