President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Thursday night expressed his appreciation online to a child from Tondo who handed him a bag of okra during a recent visit to the community.
“Salamat sa ulam ko ngayong gabi, Batching,” said Marcos in his social media post alongside a photo of the two together and another showing the president enjoying the okra later that evening.
Marcos visited Barangay 105 in Tondo, Manila, on Thursday, September 18, to assist the 7,900 residents who were left homeless by the catastrophic fire that broke out on the evening of Saturday, September 13.
