President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. says that the national government is focused on the long-term rehabilitation of the Mindoro oil spill incident beginning with livelihood projects.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) along with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and other agencies are training and supporting small business owners by donating seed money, as well as, providing aid and livelihood assistance.

The President said that the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) through the help of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has many projects for provinces as part of the recovery plans.

The TESDA under DOLE gives training so that the flow of the residents’ income is continuous, the President said.

The chief executive assured that there will be no one left behind and that the national government would help their life return back to normal.

Aside from the oil spill problem, the President also promised to address other concerns such as the source of drinking water.

This is also a chance for the Marcos administration to improve the province’s infrastructure, businesses, and industries, the chief executive said.

Marcos went to Pola to oversee the oil spill damage and ensure that the rehabilitation efforts carried on.

With support from other countries such as Japan, the US, and South Korea, the Philippines resumes its efforts for the improvement of the Mindoro oil spill incident.
