Philippine athletes Precious Cabuya and Mark Rodelas had an impressive showing in the 32nd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games Obstacle Course Race competitions held on Saturday at the Chroy Changvar Convention Center – Car Park in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Cabuya and Rodelas both dominated their respective races and set new world records in the process.
Cabuya dominated the women's individual race and captured the gold medal by smashing her own world record of 33.127 with a new mark of 32.732.
Her fellow Filipino competitor, Kaizen Dela Serna, finished the course with 35.522 to take the silver.
Indonesian Anggun Yolanda Samsul Hadi finished with 39.598 and won the bronze medal over Malaysia's Wan Athirah Hidayah Ahmad Fauzi in the bronze medal final.
Rodelas, on the other hand, almost broke his existing world record of 25.092 with a finish of 25.194 to take the men's gold medal.
Kevin Pascua, Rodelas' compatriot, finished with 26.814 for the silver, while Malaysian Yoong Wei Thing got the bronze with 28.234.
The medals brought the country's haul to four golds, four silvers, and three bronzes for a total of 11 medals, the most in the Games at present.
