Power has been restored in the affected areas in Binondo, Manila after the Manila Electric Company (Meralco) successfully replaced the collapsed electric posts with new ones on Friday, August 2.
In a statement, Meralco Spokesperson Joe Zaldarriaga said new electric posts was sucessfully installed and the restoration works finished on Friday morning.
“Naibalik na rin ang serbisyo ng kuryente sa mga customers na naapektuhan ng service interruption na kinakailangan isagawa para ligtas na maisaayos ang mga apektadong pasilidad," he added.

Zaldarriaga noted that the probe is still ongoing as the cause of the collapse has yet to be identified.
"Muli, humihingi ako ng pang-unawa sa pasensya sa abalang naidulot ng insidenteng ito," the Meralco spox said.
On Thursday afternoon, multiple Meralco posts fell the corner of Quintin Paredes St. and Ongpin St. Binondo, Manila.
The fallen electric posts trampled on eight vehicles including an electronic bike and bicycle.
Three individuals reportedly sustained minor injuries and were taken straight to the hospital for treatment.
