A large portion of Luzon experienced a brownout for two hours yesterday evening.

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines' (NGCP) placed Luzon under Red Alert from 1 PM to 12 AM on June 1, following a Yellow Alert.

Meralco advised that some areas may be subjected to a power outage from 1:01 PM until midnight.

These areas include barangays in Metro Manila, Quezon, Laguna, Rizal, Batangas, Cavite, and Bulacan.
