Based on the posting, the Potato Corner branch is located at Ventura Mall in Dasmariñas, Cavite.
Potato Corner's statement
Taking the matter head-on, the snack brand issued a statement. The management of Potato Corner clarified that the advertisement stemmed from an upcoming branch, emphasizing their commitment to fostering diversity and inclusiveness.
"At Potato Corner, our steadfast belief resides in the significance of embracing diversity and fostering inclusivity, aligning seamlessly with what our brand extends to our treasured patrons and esteemed business allies. We unequivocally denounce any form of discriminatory hiring practices," it told a news outlet.
The Potato Corner management staunchly condemned any form of biased hiring.
Moreover, the snack brand assured that such a situation would be avoided in the future.
"We are actively addressing this recent incident that sprang from a well-intentioned yet inconsiderate job advertisement. While the Potato Corner branch at Ventura Mall is yet to commence operations, it is scheduled to open its doors soon," it added.
"We deeply lament the lapse that occurred in the formulation of the job advertisement. Together with our esteemed business partners, we are resolute in our endeavor to prevent any recurrence of such incidents in the future," the Potato Corner management ended.
