Pope Francis' condition remains stable, with slow but steady improvements in his recovery from bilateral pneumonia, the Vatican media reported.
"His condition appears stable, with slight gradual improvements, as stated in Saturday evening’s medical bulletin," the Holy See Press Office stated in its recent update.
"However, the overall situation remains complex, prompting doctors to maintain a guarded prognosis," they added.
Moreover, the 88-year-old pontiff took part in the Spiritual Exercises of the Roman Curia via video link from Gemelli Hospital, where he is being treated.
The Holy Father also welcomed a visit from Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin and Archbishop Edgar Peña Parra, the Substitute for the Secretariat of State. Additionally, he attended Mass with those assisting him during this time.
Continuing with his therapy, the Pope is undergoing respiratory and motor physiotherapy and following a prescribed diet that now includes solid foods.
After receiving high-flow oxygenation with nasal cannulas during the day, the Pope will once again transition to non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
The next medical bulletin is scheduled for release on Monday, as there was no update on Sunday due to the stability of the Pope's clinical condition.
