The police executive master sergeant (PEMS) who was fatally stabbed inside the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) headquarters at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig is now lying in state at the Quezon City Police District (QCPD).
In a report by RH Val Gonzales, the victim's family requested that his remains temporarily stay at the QCPD chapel while arrangements are made for his transfer to their home province, according to PCapt. Febie Madrid, spokesperson for the QCPD.
The victim's dismembered body was initially transported to Baguio before being turned over to investigators from the Southern Police District. It was later brought to Camp Karingal for further investigation.
According to information released by the QCPD Public Information Office, the victim's son, a member of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Special Action Force, alleged that his father's killing was premeditated by the suspect, a police lieutenant colonel (PLTCOL). The suspect reportedly waited for the victim to come to Metro Manila before carrying out the crime.
On November 28, the victim attended a convention in Manila, during which the crime occurred.
Based on the spot report, the lieutenant colonel confessed to fatally shooting the sergeant after allegedly discovering him in "intimate relations" with the lieutenant’s wife inside their apartment at the Married Non-Officers’ Quarters.
Authorities recovered two rice sacks containing dismembered human remains, two white shirts, and one wooden chopping board at the scene.
