There are still no leads established yet on the disappearance of beauty queen and Miss Grand Philippine 2023 candidate Catherine Camilon, who allegedly went missing on October 12.
In a radio interview on Tuesday, Tuy Municipal Police Station chief Major Eugenio Napthalo Solomon said there is no clear lead yet on Camilon’s whereabouts, and the authorities are looking at all possible means to locate her.
The Tuy police chief added that they are looking into the registered owner of the car used by Camilon to know if it has a GPS that can be tracked, and according to the family, the vehicle is not registered under the missing beauty queen’s name.
According to Solomon, they have already gotten more leads by checking the gasoline station in Bauan where Camilon parked while waiting for a friend; however, the installed CCTV cameras are not working.
Moreover, Camilon’s mother and sister have been using their social media platform to search for her, and they also mentioned that the last conversation they had with her was at around 8:33 p.m.
Rosario stressed that her daughter usually gives updates to them and could not recall any enemies or boyfriends she could run away with.
Based on the police reports, Camilon was reported missing by her mother and sister days after she went missing while on her way to Batangas City on October 12.
For swift search operations, Solomon asked for the public’s help and advised them to report any leads or information on the beauty queen’s location.
