Comedienne Pokwang on Monday requested deportation against her former partner, American actor William Lee O'Brian, for allegedly working illegally in the Philippines.
She was accompanied by her legal counsel, Rafael Vicente Calinisan, in submitting her 35-page complaint to the Bureau of Immigration (BI).
Pokwang requested BI to cancel O'Brian's tourist visa and deport him for violating Sections 23 and 37 of Commonwealth Act 613, often known as the Philippine Immigration Act of 1940.
When asked if the Kapuso comedienne had filed a deportation case against O'Brian, BI spokesman Dana Sandoval stated that she could not "officially respond to this because sharing details about her private complaint is prohibited under data privacy laws."
Furthermore, Pokwang said in a statement that despite simply renewing his tourist visa, O'Brian has been able to find work in the country.
In her Instagram post, Pokwang shared a photo showing her complaint against O’Brian, captioning “Para sa karapatan ko at ng anak ko, para sa mga kapwa ko babae at sa bayan ko.”

O'Brian recently starred in the film "Sandwich," which premiered on Vivamax on May 19.
Pokwang claimed that O'Brian had "misplaced pride" and unfairly enjoyed country benefits, adding that the latter also failed to pay child support to her and their daughter, Malia Francine, saying that he had been flirting with other ladies and communicating with them maliciously, causing her much stress during her pregnancy that led to hospital admission due to bleeding.
The comedienne is reportedly worried that O'Brian's alleged womanizing and scandalous behavior may have an impact on their daughter.
O'Brian has yet to issue a statement regarding the matter.
Pokwang and O'Brian first met while working on the film "EDSA Woolworth" in the United States and had been together for over six years until splitting up in November 2021.
