Sen. Grace Poe on Thursday, Sept. 28, urged the Office of Transportation Security (OTS) to implement a “one-strike policy” to weed out corrupt security officers.

In a report by RH Raymund Dadpaas, Poe said the previous incident of a screening officer found guilty for stealing $300 from a Chinese passenger was enough basis that people would do what they want to accomplish their goal.

Poe, who heads the Senate Committee on Public Services, said that the security screening department must be strict in their overhaul to ensure the reformation of the agency.

Poe also called on the OTS to improve its system following OTS Undersecretary Mao Aplasca’s resignation on Tuesday.
